Jojoba oil is similar to sebum, which is secreted by human sebaceous glands to lubricate and protect skin and hair. Jojoba oil conditions hair and prevents it from becoming brittle and dull. I love this oil!! If you wash frequently this is a great oil replacement.

"I am 40 years old about to be 41 in a few days. My personal hair journey started in July of 2010 when my hair had broken off about 80% due to overprocessing my hair with relaxers and negligence and ignorance of taking care of my hair over the years. When I saw my hair at pixie length, I was devastated. My hair had never been that short before and at that point I made a promise to myself to stop using relaxers and to find out how to better take care of my hair so it can be healthy, longer and stronger.
Since then, I have been transitioning, researching and going through trial and error experiments to see what works for my hair. I have cut down on sulfates and heat  tremendously as well as petroleum/mineral oil products and have embraced pre-pooing, co-washing and air-drying.  I have not done the big chop yet and my hair is past collarbone length at this time. My ultimate goal is to get to bra strap/medium back length."
